The beauty of grace is being able to spiritually experience Jesus before you understand who He really is. When Jesus asked the disciples to follow Him, they answered yes without hesitation. Even though they knew very little about Jesus, they asked no questions. They simply believed in Him. John Newton confessed that he was a sinner and a filthy man. He felt remorse for how he had lived his life. He was hopeless and thought death was near. He cried out to Jesus to save his life and with limited understanding of God, experienced grace that he could not deny. He could only express it by reciting the song, "Amazing grace! How sweet the sound..." My experience took place when I was a young man slamming down Silver Bullets as I drove home from work. God spoke to me that it was time to make a choice. I didn't know much about Jesus, but I knew that it was Him speaking to me and I made the choice to receive His grace. Oh, the beauty of God's saving grace. The power of God's grace is so magnificant that when you experience it, there is no denying that God is real, and God is here with us. Call out to God, wherever you are, and He will lovingly extend to you His indescribable grace!
